This was an absolute life saver for me. I've been needing something like this forever but had no idea it was out there until I started searching. Plus, it was absolutely free. So many other companies out there post that their software is free, then you take all the time to download, install and run it only to find out you can't do anything with the results in the end unless you pay them for it. If my company would let me purchase it, I definitely would but right now we are on a very tight IT budget. I had one computer I was having a terrible time identifying and finding drivers for (a Toshiba)and this program did everything it said it would. Thanks so much for sharing !!!!

The problem I found with this program was that it identifies the device by it's driver and not by its physical presence. I have a pci card in my machine that I can't tell if it is working or not. When the drivers are present, the device doesn't work. It doesn't seem to work with or without the drivers. I can't tell what if any thing is wrong with it and can't seem to locate a program that uses the computer it is installed on to check it.

Didn`t run on my machine
This product looked promising and installed OK but wouldn't run on my machine. I got a pop-up saying siomething like "Error". It un-installed cleanly though so the problem is probably at my end.

Great Help
I recently got rid of Vista and "upgraded" back to XP. I was missing a bunch of drivers for various components. The Unknown Device Indentifier made it easy to find out the manufacturers of components which then made it much easier to find drivers. Thanks for this great tool.
